Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a party?
Click here to navigate to our Bookings page on this website. From there, there will be a link to our Calendly Scheduler. You can See our availability, book your date, and pay for your party. All in one fell swoop.
What if I’d like to use a different payment service than PayPal?
We’d Love to accommodate you! We can accept payment through Venmo, Zelle or ApplePay. If you’re old-school, and you’d rather pay by check, that can also be arranged. Contact bookings@sommtastings.com
Do I need to provide wine glasses?
If you have a specific wine glass you would like to use we request that you have two per person and that they are clear without any writing on them so that you can see through the wine. If not, our instructor would be glad to bring wine glasses for your party.
What’s the cost?
The per person cost starts at $50 with a minimum booking of 6 people. The minimum comes out to $300 plus tax & must be paid at time of booking.
Do we get to keep the wine glasses if the instructor bring them?
No, at this time, we are not offering this option, but it is something that we’d like to add in the future.
Do we get to choose the wines that we taste?
To some extent- When you book your party, there will be a question asking if you would like all whites, all red or a mixture of the two. Based on this feedback, the wines themselves are expertly curated by our instructor.
How many different wines will we be tasting?
There will be four different wines to taste through at each event, however, the amount of wine that the instructor brings depends on the size of the party.
How much food do you provide?
We provide a charcuterie board that is appropriate for the amount of people booked for the specific party. Think snacks, not full meal.
How long are these events?
Our instructor is shooting for 2 to 2 1/2 hours with an additional 30 minutes of set up & 30 minutes of break down. If the conversation is good, however, we won’t run out on you! We want to make sure you get the full educational experience.
